A Steven Universe Quest Set

For reasons known only to my brain, I made a Chuubo's quest set based on Season 1 of Steven Universe (+ Full Disclosure), treating each episode as a chapter. It was a fun exercise and was definitely interesting to me for both analysis of Steven Universe and Chuubo's.

This is a quest set for a new, mundane, or inexperienced member of a super-powered magical team. It's about learning what this means, finding your own powers, and facing an enemy that's scary even to them. It also assumes a relatively stable and mundane background to your magical adventures.

It assumes you have a Predecessor, someone who was you before you were you, whose footsteps you are following, and who the people around you have trouble not comparing you to and you feel pressure to live up to. ( Read more... )
