The Lady Weaving (Merit 5)

The Serpent Avesh has long been known for being a particularly experimental sort - his later exploits would include, among other things, attempting to capture Excrucians and trying to enNoble them to see what would happen. But once upon a time, Enheduanna was a weaver; and that is why Avesh called upon her to be the Lady Weaving, one of the first Powers to ever exist, in the First Age of the World.

She was one of the first to agree that Noble society would need a covenant. Her expertise in the weft and warp of the world made her critical in recording and brokering the deals that would make everyone agree to the Accords. And it was she who spoke the miracles that fixed the orrery of Misenchronic Engine to an ash-tree, that made the gearteeth of its inner workings mesh, that bound the turning of its hands and spindles to the spirit of the Accords. All res that have been made since then use the Lady Weaving's original miracles as a template.

Enheduanna lived through the Second Age, and much of the early Third; and was struck down while serving in the defense of the planet Sorrensem, by the blade of the Strategist Domeli Huctredus. Since then, there have been many other Lords and Ladies Weaving; but it was not until these last few years, when Rosaline Ackers willingly sacrificed herself, that the Lady Weaving in full glory rose again.
